Boys who get in trouble need to go to Camp green Lake in order to become "good boys." Some people think digging holes will turn a "bad" boy into a "good" boy. Stanley was not forced to go to Camp Green Lake, but chose the option over jail, wondering what a camp would be like. I wonder what Stanley and the other boys did to end up at Camp Green Lake?
Eavan, I completely agree with your opinion that the boys must have committed criminal acts to wind up at Camp Green Lake. I also think they may have stolen something.

I agree with Nathan,only the kids that have to be arrested but want to go to Camp Green lake go there. Satenely was not supposed to go there,he was not made to got there. Boys who go to Camp Green Lake have to dig holes,everyday including Saturday ad Sunday!! I predict that Stanely want make many friends at Camp Green Lake!!
